A wonderful new addition has arrived to foster community, kindness, and inclusion on the local schoolyard. Student council members at Anne Hathaway Public School officially cut the ribbon on Thursday, May 14, to celebrate the grand opening of their brand-new Buddy Bench. This special project is designed to ensure every child has a welcoming place to connect with peers and make new friends during recess.

The initiative highlights the incredible leadership and empathy of the student council, who worked hard to bring this positive feature to the playground. By providing a designated spot where students can signal when they are looking for someone to play with, the new bench helps prevent loneliness and encourages a supportive environment for everyone. Congratulations to the students and staff for making their school community an even brighter, more inclusive space for youth.
